Niche gives grades for professors, athletics, dorms and safety, among other concerns. Plus, it creates its rankings based on data from the U.S. Department of Education (DoED) so that you can browse colleges by state or major.

Online degrees are currently available in 137 popular subjects, with 28,321 unique programs offered at online schools. Notably, every school on our website is accredited by an organization recognized by the US Department of Education. On this page, we provide a list of the number of online colleges offering degrees in every subject as well as any program-specific accreditation students should pay attention to and salary statistics.

Average salary is calculated using earnings data from the 2020 release of the Department of Education's College Scorecard. The data represents median earnings in the year after graduation for graduates at all the U.S. colleges with available salary data for that program. The average for each program is based on the degree level specified in the salary description and is weighted based on the number of students in the program at each college. 041b061a72
